SREY MEAN CHEY TOTE BAGS
Our Srey Mean Chey purse-making team consists of young adults and mothers from the Steung Meanchey community who have children enrolled in CCF's educational programs. These women receive paid training in cutting, sewing and design, as well as general education courses in English and computers. Mothers participating in the EnGender project also receive free health care, sick leave, monthly rice benefits and performance bonuses.
Made of brightly-colored recycled rice bags with contrasting cotton interior lining, each and every handmade tote bag is unique – no two are exactly alike. Sturdy canvas handles round out the totes, and a clear plastic coating makes each bag extra durable – which makes them extra easy for you to reuse. Proceeds are allocated to Cambodian Children's Fund to continue funding this valuable vocational training program.
